Freddie Christmas

Just because…!

Here’s musical accompaniment for you: on Christmas Eve 1975, but a day off forty years ago, Queen put an exclamation point on their most successful year so far with a blistering performance at the Hammersmith Odeon. I’ve fiddled it to start at the awesome Bohemian Rhapsody/Killer Queen/March of the Black Queen medley, but indeed the whole concert is in that video. Enjoy it!

I wish you a very Freddie Christmas. Indeed, happy and peaceful holidays to all who jaywalk here with me.

It took several goes but ultimately turned out better than I expected. Saying that, I always expected Freddie in a Santa hat to be adorable, and turns out I was right. 😉

And no problem regarding the e-mail. It’s the season. Santa Jacob? Nah! I’m not nearly rotund enough, and as it happens I shaved my beard off the other day 😉

You really suprised me, in a good way and I think it’s the perfect Christmas gift 🙂
Yes, Freddie would have been a great looking Santa, he could wear anything and look great, that makes your drawing very special 😉 ❤

Thanks Charlie! I don’t know what Freddie has to do with Christmas exactly, but never mind 😉

Haha! I’m afraid the man bun has been chopped too 😦 Indeed… I went to tidy the beard with my trimmer, but kinda forgot to put the guide on the correct setting… blush… and so just took half of the beard off in one go. So the whole thing had to come off! I wasn’t pleased!

      • Oh wow…that’s simply not possible. 😊 I can’t grow a proper beard. It’s more salt than pepper and makes me look like an out of work department store Santa. Not hot I’m afraid!

Well that sounds plenty hot enough to me, but indeed, I’m not going to bully you into taking photographs… unlike some 😉

I certainly enjoyed my tape of A Night at the Opera…they were an outstanding group, and so was Freddie (‘tho why he didn’t fix his teeth, I’ll never know…). He looks a cheeky Santa! Merry Christmas, Jacob. Thanks for your dabblings; many more to come, I hope!

I think I read or heard somewhere that Freddie refused to have his teeth fixed because he was afraid it would impact his voice in some way. Not that that was a concern to him when he started smoking, clearly…!

Thanks so much, Janina! I’m glad you’re enjoying my wittering. Indeed, Merry Christmas to you, too!

Ha ha! Oh, jolly well grow up!!!! What a spurious claim. I’ve never liked sherry, and I don’t think she’s cares much for me either.

(I’m aware this makes your allegation appear all the more likely. But seriously: NO!)

        Happy Christmas!!!
