The Best Tattoo There Is…

The best tattoo there was…

and the best tattoo there ever will be.

Well well, here’s something I never expected to happen. A few weeks ago, I was asked if a couple of my custom WrestleFest character designs could potentially be used for a tattoo – Bret and Owen Hart, to be precise. Of course, I said yes; it’s beyond flattering that somebody wanted my art to be quite literally a part of them.

And sure enough, earlier today I received this:

How cool is that!? My thanks to Ajay for being mad enough to want this and for going through with it. I still can’t quite believe it!

  1. That’s excellent, how long will the colours last I wonder? Must be a fan 👍

Hi Jay, Nicely done! I instantly recognised the Pink and Black Attack, but then I was a big fan of wrestling in the 80’s/90’s. I have never designed any wrestling tattoos but I have come up with a few Pro-Wrestling themed lightsabers. If you’d like to check them out I’ll leave the link below, but I will say the “Spirit Seeker” is very special as I was able to chat with and send the design to the wrestler that inspired it (he is an ex WWe and Ohio Valley grappler and fan of Star Wars and sabers). He joined the same custom lightsaber forum I was a member of, so I got to communicate with him a bit.
Again great job on the Hart Dynasty and here is the link to my Squared Circle Sabers:

Hi For Tyeth, thank you! Gotta love the Hart Brothers. It would have been great to get Owen in RetroMania; I believe they tried but it didn’t work out.

Wow – I remember the Undertaker saber you did last year, but you’ve done loads! I think the Kane one is my favourite. Awesome!

Hi again. We’ve mentioned Bret and Owen but there was also Jim “The Anvil” Neidhard who never really featured in many games from what I recall – I would have loved to see all three in one game for tag teaming matches!
And thanks for checking the sabers out, I forgot I had introduced the “Undertaker 30 Years Streak” design to you but as you mention I’ve done quite a few hilts now. The Undertaker and Kane twin sabers I was pleased with despite using the old online software saber builder – but I need to revisit Kane’s design and build a new Blender 3D one for him now!

Yes, Neidhart was great too! You’re right, he wasn’t in many games – actually WCW/NWO Revenge is the only one I can think of, but maybe there were others. I think he and Bret would have looked great in WrestleFest.

Yeah, it’d be great to see you try a new Kane saber. Have fun!

  3. That’s too cool! Way cool! Congrats, Jacob. I have a tattoo on my back of my music project logo which was designed by a friend… he was blown away when I showed it him. Cool that original art can be used this way 🙂

Thanks, Ford – yes, I reacted the same way! I only drew them as a little distraction for a friend a couple of years ago, it’s mad that they’ve taken on this new form. Stunned!
